In the prepared Montessori environment at Vistas, the child can move ahead at his own pace and wish or repeat work as desired by the child. Regardless of subject, each lesson is presented with actual material to touch, feel and explore. In this way learning becomes a pleasant experience. The child gets self-motivation and self-direction in the classroom. This allows the child to enjoy what he does.

Carefully created and crafted materials are used. Knobbed cylinders, geometric cabinets, sand paper letters and metal insets and many others help in the refinement of brain-eye-hand co-ordination. The material children use at this stage will help them to develop the concentration and working habits necessary in an advanced stage at the ages of 5 or 6 years. Without coming in the child’s way of creativity, the teacher provides help and guidance only necessary. In such an environment the child learns to think independently and logically.

The prepared environment at VISTAS consists of bright spacious rooms filled with Montessori materials. Children are free to explore this environment under the attentive care of trained Montessori teachers.

The Montessori materials cover developmental activities designed to meet the needs of children in five curriculum areas.

To assist a child we must provide him with an environment which will enable him to develop freely.
